"Aureliano Jose had been destined to find with the happiness that Amaranta had denied him, to have seven children, and to die in her arms of old age, but the bullet that entered his back and shattered his chest had been directed by a wrong interpretation of the cards."
I thought this quote was really interesting and one of the many quotes in this book that really just grabbed my attention while i was reading it. This is an important quote because it shows how Aureliano wrongly interpreted a situation and as a result was hurt by it.
